The inventory database has three main views. The user can manage equipment, show, and box information accurately and easily. The equipment, shows, and boxes are logically related so that the user can assign elements to a show and a box.
This view shows all the elements in the inventory. The user can sort, filter, and modify equipment information easily. They can also quickly edit/see any notes about a piece of equipment.
After checking out elements with a barcode scanner, the database automatically generates and formats this list with a click of a button.

In the summer of 2017, Jing worked at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta under Clay Benning as an intern. The slide show to the left showcases the Equipment Inventory database that Jing created from scratch with Filemaker Pro.

Developing highly directional loudspeakers with ultrasonic transducers. Jing created Audio Event Detection and Classification Algorithms to work with this system.
We set up 96 speakers in the acoustic lab to explore the potentials of Wave Field Synthesis as the basis for our application development. Jing developed software which processes mono sound sources for the system.
Using Wave Field Synthesis and a small speaker array, this projects aims at creating an immersive sound for the TV. Unlike traditional stereo systems, this system can create 3D sound localization by synthesizing a virtual source in front of the listener. Jing worked on developing the rendering software as well as designing the speaker array.

Jing worked as a full-time audio research engineer at Panasonic R&D Center in Singapore from 2011 to 2014. He's worked on projects such as Surround Audio Rendering with Stereo Input with Wave Field Synthesis, Audio Event Detection and Classification with Machine Learning, and Active Noise Cancelation with Loudspeakers.
